Being a photographer....

Means I also do some wedding albums every now and then...
For that reason I also shot my Scrapers bro Duncan and his lovely bride Bianca about two weeks ago.
A great time was had by all and thanx to a perfect planning we were able to capture it the way we wanted.

61 galaxie update

Also made some time this weekend to finally start working on the Galaxie...except for a few short trips she's been sitting in the back of the garage waiting patiently.
about time I started on dropping it, the aim is as close to the floor as possible using lowering blocks only.
up to 4 inch by now, gonna try to add it up to 6 inch see if it pleases me better, it's already an improvement, by I want it Lowered!
At least my mind is set on getting there so stay tuned in the next weeks....
(sorry, as usual very little quality time in the garage.)

Latest paint....

While and in between traveling I picked up the paintbrushes again, due to the magazine I didn't do to much paint lately, felt great working with the brush and paint again after a couple of months behind the laptop.
here's some of the latest stiping and lettering I did.

Finally....

I got all the stuff sorted out that has been gathering here for the last few months.
First there was my club's SINS show end of april...you should have seen it all by now, ifnot, check out the scrapers blog

After that my life shifted up in highest gear so we started traveling, the on the road season started shortly after SINS with a trip to Spain to meet up with the Razzlers cc for their 4th Riverside show in Balaguer.
What a great weekend that was...really surprised by the numer and quality of cool rides...
Spain doesn't have a very big traditional rod and custom scene, most of it is concentrated in and around of Barcelona, besides the Razzlers, there are also Templars cc, Royals cc, Diamantes cc and Atomics cc, all good for some great traditional rides.
All together these clubs and all the other people involved make for a great rod and custom culture in Spain, mix this with some kickass bikes and some wild rockabilly music and the result was a wonderfull weekend in Spain.

Thanx Bigtime in the first place to Sergi & Maria, but of course also to all other Razzlers for such a warm welcome.
Thanx to you this weekend couldn't have been any better!!!

Latest paint.....

Just before the Rogues Choppershow I finished (...well not completely....)
Eric's "El Sjofel" paintjob.
Tattoo styled paint on a wildly used oldstyle chopper from Holland.
More paint to come on this baby as we decided to so some more sessions on it, eventually leading to a fully tattood kickass chopper! stay tuned for progress pics...

meanwhile, the "On the Road" season is about to start, first up is the Razzlers cc Riverside indoorshow in Balaguer / Spain, we're leaving on thursdaynight to set up the Motorized booth and do some striping work under the Spanish sun.

























After this great weekend we will be at the Kustomweekend in Italy to enjoy a wild weekend of cars, bikes and kulture with good friends.
I will be pinstriping my old 41 chevy since the new owner David (Crazy Cruisers cc) turned it into a perfect black canvas to lay down some lines....

Free your mind....

Took some time off from making the first Motorized issue (out April 25th)
locked myself in the garage to lay down some lines on Angelo's Triumph tank.
popped open some One Shot white, took a brush and started working, no previous design, no guidelines, just letting the lines do their magic....
Been a while since I last did some basic striping work...will always love bold, single color designs...
Can't wait to see it mounted on Angelo's '69 Triumph.

Resin casts by Popeye

My buddy Popeye from Cyprus send me some of his resin casts a while back.
Mexican skulls, Virgins of Guadalupe, and much more neat stuff.
Only thing I need to do is get them painted and they will make for some great keyhangers.

This is an ongoing buildingproject Beer is doing as a story in the Dutch magazine Bigtwin
An Evo softail being transformed into a Frisco style Chopper as cheap and basic as possible...

And by the way....Fuckcup isn't misspelled...just a liberal translation of the dutch name "RagBakkie"

these have been burning on my harddrive, just dind't spend to much time online last weeks...
Last weekend my buddy Bow traded me his late sixties painted peanut styled tank for a helmet...
Looks fabulous on the shovel....seems like all I'm getting at is collecting cool tanks because after visiting L&L Choppers in Holland last week to do a photoshoot (check the Motorized blog for samples of that shoot) I came home with this neat narrow mustang style tank...also look great...
gonna have me a split personality bike I guess...
of course the original 60ies tank will be left untouched, the new one will get treatment in one of the next weeks.

Lux Interior RIP

Last week Wednesday, Lux Interior, charismatic singer of The Cramps died...
No more Lux and Poison Ivy together on stage...
This band rocked my youth! from the first time I saw the Cramps about 23 years ago till the last time I saw them, 2 years ago, they put on some of the most memorable shows I ever saw.
