Heroes....ED ROTH

Mosquito

Don't think I came round to showing the Mosquito dragster as a whole.
Couple of months ago I finished the paint on this 60ies styled vw slingshot.
Din't have the opportunity of shooting it till now...maybe this will happen this winter...
doing some burnouts somewhere in the area of Ghent.
below is a crappy phonecam shot, it will to do for now...more to come when we get round to it.

Ride out....

Some time ago we rode out with some friends to a James Intvelt gig in Holland...
Great fun riding with Bow, Willem and Kuif...hitting the pittoresk city center full throttle...damn those dudes really rode the hell out of this old shit.
Bow on his Pan, Willem & his Early shovel and Kuif burnin' it on his Liberator bobchop....and me trying to hang on for dear life!
You can check out Bow's Panhead chopper in full detail in the current Bigtwin issue, the lib and the Early shovel have been featured in the same Dutch bikermag years ago...go dig the cellar to find that stash of old mags....

Also this weekend....Custom Zone Switserland.

In a few hours we head off to this great Indoorshow in Winterthur / Switserland.
Organisers Manuela and Christoph from Custom Parts & Wear
invited me to take part in the artshow ...
unfortunately not able to drive in style to this event, but that won't spoil a lot of fun with some fine folks and a great show....see you all very soon if you decide to drop by....
Pretty sure you won't regret.
pictures coming up after the weekend!

Baggers coming up

One of my friends is currenly finishing his 65 panhead, these were only made for a half year in 1965 so he's pretty stoked about his new bike...
only thing is he's been having serious doubts about what to do with it...turning it into a period correct chopper or stay the hell away from changing anything to it...
Now here's another point of view I passed on to him...
Pretty damn cool to turn it into a sixties styled bagger, a nice paintjob and a lot of bold on chrome stuff would make for a killer ride based on a 65 pan if you ask me.

stole these shots from the Nostalgia on Wheels blog

Check out the story on Kenny's XS ...

Painting Krugger's "Overmile" project

Doing some work on Fred's new bike "Overmile"
more to come in the next few weeks....
meanwhile....check the Krugger website for more...

shovel back on track....

Bigtime thanx to my buddy Erick at Special Parts Supply for bringin my shovel back to life in a safer and more reliable condition.
along the way he made it look much better with the new pipes and WL springer.
hope to paint a fresh tank for it in the next few weeks...and maybe next week some kickass skyhigh sissybar....
For now it will remain heavily under construction, but who cares bout that...I'm stoked with the way she tears down the street....
the 50ies english drum in front doesn't do no good in stopping the bike, but it makes up for it in looks and in the way it helps to take off with squeeqing and smoking rear tire....
All in all the perfect bike to split lanes and hop from bar to bar....
I'm a happy man.
Big thanx to Erick, Olaf and Johan at SPS, Erik aka Sjofel for the lights, Hanske for the springer deal

more stuff that keeps me busy....

as usual overhere keeping busy with a lot of neat stuff...
at this moment working on a very secred dragster project....
all I can say is it's a newly build in Belgium 60ies slingshot....and it's looking way kool.
doing some panels with goldleaflettering and some grafiks....
check back soon...the "Mosquito" will be revealed at this year EBI
besides the slingshot I also did some striping on the perfect carhauler for it.
You can't miss this combo when you meet it on the road somewhere....
